This policy explains how Wovett collects, uses, safeguards, and shares information, and how you can exercise choices about it. It applies to information about current and former customers that is collected by or supplied to us through our websites and related services, referred to here as the Sites.
By entering or using the Sites, you acknowledge and agree to this policy. If you do not agree, do not use them. Questions and rights requests should be sent to support@wovett.com.
Your choices and requests
You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold, restrict or object to further processing, or receive your data in a structured, standard format. You may also complain to the competent data-protection authority about the processing of your information.
To protect your privacy, we may request details to confirm your identity and entitlement to access the data, and to locate the records concerned. Applicable laws or regulatory requirements may permit or require us to refuse disclosure or deletion of some or all records. We respond within a reasonable period and in any event in less than 30 days. We take reasonable steps to keep personal information accurate, complete, and current.
For promotional email, use the unsubscribe link in the message; it can take up to 10 business days to stop those emails. Mobile coupons and texts are provided following an opt-in, and a specific mobile campaign can be opted out of. Order confirmations, order updates, review invitations, and important non-commercial notices may also be sent. Contact and Communication Preferences provides the practical routes for managing these messages.
Information involved in your use of Wovett
We collect information such as your name, billing and delivery addresses, email, telephone or mobile number, credit or debit card number, use of the Sites, and purchases, returns, and exchanges. Your browser or device may also hold information relating to your visit, such as contact and address details, including postal code. Cookies and similar technologies support website functionality and recognition of visit information, including IP-related information. Cookie and Device Preferences explains these technologies.
What we use information for
Information supports purchases, order fulfillment, payments, returns, exchanges, requests for information, and other customer service. It also enables requested services, the administration of contests, sweepstakes and promotions, and communications such as coupons, mobile coupons, newsletters, receipts, emails, and mobile messages about products, services, and offers.
For internal operations, we use information to improve the Sites, mobile experience, and marketing effectiveness, and to carry out research and analysis, including surveys and focus groups. It can also support other business activities described in this policy.
We use information to monitor theft, fraudulent transactions, and other activity affecting customers or Wovett. Legal-compliance purposes include responding to subpoenas and assisting law enforcement.
Sharing and international processing
We do not sell or rent personally identifiable customer information. Sharing is limited to the circumstances described here:
- Related businesses: information may be shared within the Wovett group, including subsidiaries and affiliates, which may use it to offer products or services of interest.
- Service providers: companies assisting with printing, email, mobile marketing, logistics, data enhancement, or marketing may receive the information necessary for their tasks. They are not authorized to use information we share for another purpose. Our payment arrangements include Klarna checkout options; relevant service information describes its installment services.
- Legal and protective purposes: we may disclose information when appropriate to meet legal, national-security, or law-enforcement requirements, enforce terms or agreements, or protect the rights, property, or safety of Wovett, customers, or others.
- Your direction: information may be shared when you request or direct us to do so.
- Business transfers: when some or all business assets are sold or transferred, associated customer information generally transfers too. We may retain a copy.
For cross-border transfers of personal information, we rely on legally recognized transfer mechanisms. The processing bases described in this policy include consent where given, contractual necessity such as handling an online payment or delivering a purchase, and legitimate interests as set out here.
Security and safe communication
Our safeguards include technical, administrative, physical, electronic, and procedural measures intended to protect the confidentiality and security of information sent to us. Sites collecting personal or sensitive information use TLS/SSL encryption to protect details such as card numbers, names, and addresses during transmission to us.
Email may be unencrypted and is not a secure means of transmitting card information. We may ask for your name, but never request your password, credit card information, or similar sensitive details by email. Do not respond to an email asking for those details, even when it appears to be from Wovett; phishing messages attempt to obtain information by impersonating a trusted source.
Check your account for unexpected activity and report it immediately to us and your issuing bank or card provider. Keep security updates and anti-virus software current; change email-account passwords regularly; use strong passwords or passphrases; avoid reuse across websites; never share passwords; and sign out after a session, particularly on a public or shared computer.
Children's information
We recognize the particular importance of children's privacy and are committed to compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly request or collect personal information from anyone under 16 without prior verifiable parental consent. If we learn that an under-16 user supplied information without that consent, we delete it from our records.
Cookies, advertising, and other websites
Cookie and Device Preferences forms part of our explanation of privacy practices. It covers essential functionality, analytics, customization, advertising, social sharing, third-party cookies, cross-device promotions, browser choices, and Do Not Track signals.
The Sites may link to other websites. Review the privacy policy of a site you visit through those links. If you reach Wovett through a link or banner on another site, that referring site may itself collect information about the click; its own policy explains that collection and use.
Changes to this policy
We may revise this statement for new technologies, industry practices, regulatory requirements, or other reasons. Non-material changes take effect immediately when the updated statement is posted. More significant changes receive a more prominent notice first.
Continued use of our products or services after the revised policy takes effect means you accept it. If you do not agree, stop using them and contact support@wovett.com to close any account you created.
